Imagers Interest Group meetings

The meetings are every Monday, 12.30-2.30pm, Lecture Theatre, MRC CBU

Chair: OlafHauk

Organiser: GeorgieMorrill

This meeting now runs for up to 2 hours (always starting at 12.30), and will consist of 0-3 project proposals/project feedbacks, with the remaining time given to methods questions from the audience, or scheduled methods presentations.

See the IigSchedule for the list of past and future meetings.

Please consider these PPT templates for your project presentations:

Important notes about project presentations

  • Please keep presentations within 10 minutes (followed by an extra ~10 minutes for discussion)

  • Presentations are intended to provide the IMC with sufficient information to judge the project

  • The IIG focuses on methodological aspects of projects, not on theory/background

  • Theory/Background should have been discussed in research group meetings prior to the IIG

  • Presentations should encourage the audience to provide helpful feedback

  • Presentations may inform the audience about your research

  • Not everybody attending the IIG will be an expert in your field
  • Where a junior scientist (e.g. a student or new post-doc) is presenting, it is expected that one or more of the senior scientists on the project are present at the IIG.

  • If a non-CBU member is presenting a CBU study then it is essential that the CBU sponsor is present at the meeting.
