This is called a <emphasis>portable</emphasis> file which has a filename with format *.por. Just go to <emphasis>file</emphasis> on the SPSS menu bar and save your SPSS data file as a portable file and then e-mail this file. If you receive a portable file then open SPSS (e.g. from the start menu) and open the file from within SPSS as usual. </para></section></article>
