How do I obtain formulae for statistics outputted by SPSS algorithms?
These are available on-line by going to [http://support.spss.com/tech/ here] and clicking Statistics Documentation, algorithms and then logging in using guest as both username and password. Stop Press: You also now need to register with SPSS technical support to access these algorithms (just click on the link) at the above website. The manuals for each SPSS procedure are then available to browse, print or download. From SPSS version 16 in the help menu there is an algorithms option which also contains all the formulae used in statistical procedures in SPSS.
