Repeated Measures, Mixed Models and Split-Plot Designs

The plan for this page is to sort out some of the confused terminology, especially in the experimental psychology literature, relating to the use of the term 'repeated measures' when 'mixed model', or 'split plot' might be a more appropriate use, though some might baulk at the agricultural overtones of the latter.
