Magnetoencephalography (MEG) studies are also perfomed using an Elekta Neuromag MEG machine (see [http://imaging.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/meg MEG Lab]), and Electroencephalography (EEG) studies using a Neuroscan system (see [http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/EEG/ EEG Lab]). Additional functional neuroimaging facilities are provided by our partners at the [http://www.wbic.cam.ac.uk/ Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre], Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. The centre has two scanners: one uses [http://www.wbic.cam.ac.uk/facilities.html?fl=28&flc1=2 Positron Emission Tomography] (or PET), and the other uses [http://www.wbic.cam.ac.uk/facilities.html?fl=28&flc4=2 fMRI]. The CBU now constitutes one of the largest concentrations of cognitive scientists and neuroscientists on a single site anywhere in the world, with nearly 100 active scientists, students and research staff. A priority in the CBU research strategy over the last 5 years has been to develop a strong research programme in neuroimaging, working closely with the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre, and more than half of the scientific staff and students are actively involved in neuroimaging projects. From emotions and memories to language and learning, functional neuroimaging is being applied in many different areas of Cognitive Neuroscience.
